TTS has started a long-term compensation programme to fully absorb the emissions associated with the annual production of Magic trolleys: a concrete gesture in support of important projects of responsible environmental management that not only allows the absorption of countless tons of CO2 but also helps to safeguard endangered ecosystems, protect biodiversity and protect the work of local communities.

In 2020, TTS chose to support sustainable management of the Amazon rainforest by helping the AmazonBai community that cares for it.

The Bailique Archipelago is home to this community of about 13,000 people who live in perfect balance with the environment, respecting the natural cycles of the forest and harvesting its fruits. In particular, AmazonBai cultivates the açaí palm, an indigenous species whose berries are more than just a source of sustenance for the population: the income from their marketing ensures the continuous job creation and supports the education of new generations.

AmazonBai's efforts, however, face climate change, progressive soil erosion and fires due to the expansion of intensive cultivation and grazing land that year after year are devastating an invaluable natural heritage.

Thanks to TTS's support, the local community can further safeguard the environmentally important areas and their fruits, which are essential for preserving biodiversity and ensuring CO2 absorption. Furthermore, TTS's support helps AmazonBai's fight against the main enemies of the forest that threaten the survival of the entire ecosystem.
